9 Ways to be Happy and Make Something of your Life

1. Be grateful
Being grateful means that you're not selfish and your thankful for everything you have. The more grateful you are the more happiness there is in your life. One great example of being grateful is when your kind to others no matter what. It isn't hard to be grateful you just need to have the courage to do it. Being grateful can apply to me because it will help me find out who am I. As we get older we should know how to value and be grateful for things because we want to be happy. Being grateful also means that others make you happy and they inspire you to become a better person. One way I will apply this new way into my life is that I will learn how to have a great attitude and always stay positive. If your grateful everyday in your life it can get you far because you will accomplish any goals you have such as becoming a doctor, graduating high school or even just helping out your community. You can also find happiness when your grateful fro others. I would be nice if everyone could be grateful because then this world would be filled of happiness.
2. Be Smart
Being smart means that you are ahead of others and you know what is best for you. Being smart can also help you achieve greater things in life because were using the knowledge that we know to make a use of it, that's why we have to attend school. One great example of being smart is when you pass your test and you did it the correct way by studying and working on practice problem. It was also smart of you to not cheat. There are two ways to define smart and one is being smart in school and the other is being smart by choosing the right and not the wrong. You have to be smart about the actions you make because you don't want to hurt others. I will apply this new way into my life by always doing the best I can and being smart about it. To be an achiever you not only need to be smart but also a hard worker and determined. Always bring the best out of yourself because that's being smart and making you a great person. You have the power to change everything so be smart about what you do and make it great.
3. Be Involved
Being involved means when you participate and communicate with others. When you're involved you help out others or the surroundings around you. Its important that you get involved with your school or the community because it makes you feel better and you also look good because it shows that you care. Being involve also means that you join a sport so that you can make new friends and become active. You should get involve in anything that will help you out in the future and make you successful. An example of the new way can be that you get accepted into the swimming pool and you know that you really want to join it, you should get involved. I can apply this new way into my life because I'm going to get involved when a opportunity comes my way. Being involved can help you in many ways such as becoming a better listener, communicator, leader and much more. Being involved can also help you release your stress because you're going to be doing something that you like/enjoy.
4. Be Clean
To be clean means that you know how to respect others and not use bad language in front of kids and adults. Being clean doesn't just mean taking showers or cleaning up your room but it also means that your clean and pure from lying. It's important that you know how to be clean because it can take you far. One great example of being clean is when the teacher asks you if you did your homework and you tell her yes. Rather than others who lie and try to make up an excuse so that they don't loose their points for the day. You should also choose your friends wisely because some of them can be dirty and be in some bad habits, that may get you in trouble. Not only that but you also need to have a clean record so that people from big companies can hire you to work for them. When you don't have a clean record it makes you look bad and probably you won't be as successful as you want to become. Being clean can make you a better person everyday because you learn how to embrace it. I can apply this new way to my life because I'm going to try to tell less lies to my parents, so I won't feel guilty about it. I want to learn how to be clean and pure like water because it will make me live a happy life.
5. Be True
Being true means that your honest all the time and you're not full of lies. When you tell the truth, it makes you feel better because you don't have to hide anything from anyone. Sometimes it may hard to tell the truth because it may hurt someone but it has to come out one way or another. If you don't tell the truth you can get in trouble and face some consequences.For example if your selling drugs you may have to do some time in jail and in some cases it can be for the rest of your life. Telling the truth is important because you don't want to be accused of something that you didn't do. A piece of advice is that you should always be true to yourself because if your not then you will always be filled with lies and it will get you nowhere. Another reason why you should be true is because when your looking for a job they need to see that they can trust you. I will apply this new way into my life because I will try to be honest to myself and always working my best. Telling the truth will get you far in the future, you'll become someone successful if you work for it, and it will make you happy as well. Not everyone tells the truth because they may be afraid or someone is stooping them from doing it. Don't be that person, instead be the one that will be able to tell the truth.
6. Be Positive
Being positive means that you always try to have a good attitude, whether your at school or at your job. Not only does being positive make you feel happy but it also inspires you to do big things like clean up your community, help elderly s, help out your parents in any way you can and so much more. You don't want any negative things coming your way so you should try to stay positive. Some ways that can help you stay positive are wake up for a morning jog/walk, eat at the right time, and sleep for a good amount of time so that you won't wake up grumpy. I will apply this new way into my life by always trying new things that I have never done before, so it can boost my self esteem and I can feel positive. You don't want to be the person that is boring or dull because they can't have a positive life/ be happy. Benefits of being positive are that you feel great, your smart, and your kind. When your positive, positive things will happen for example you can get promoted to a higher position at your job.
7. Be Humble
Being humble is when you show love/care for someone and they feel happy to have you. Another thing is that when your humble you show dignity, your respectful and you don't let others hurt you because your just being yourself. I would apply this new way into my life because I'm going to show the world how successful I can be. Some may disagree and agree with me but I'm not going to let the negative stuff get in my way. Being humble is actually a good thing because it can take you far. Just like the quotes says, "The more humble you are the higher you will rise." To me this quote actually motivates me because sometimes we don't show how humble we are because we are afraid but you shouldn't. Be yourself and don't let others take advantage of you because at the end of the day your going to regret it. Don't change who you are for other things that aren't as important as your future and you happiness.
8. Be Still
Being still probably means that you know how to be respectful. The definition of still is when you don't move or make a sound. But in this case I think that its trying to emphasize on how you should be honest and do less lying, well actually not lie at all because it doesn't bring you any good actions. We need to learn how to be still if we want to be successful. To be still may also mean that you create a state of conscious that is open and receptive ( your willing to consider new ideas). I will apply this new way into my life because I'm going to learn how to become a better person so that I can achieve my goals and be successful in the future. An example of this new way would be your in your classroom and the teacher says your going to take a test, what should you do. I think that you should be still meaning that you shouldn't talk to your peers around you for answers or help. The quote at the left side tells you that you will have wisdom if you first learn how to be still. It turns out that being still actually helps you out, you may not see it yet but once you get older you will.
9. Be Prayerful
Final Reflection: My final thoughts about the nine ways are that we should use them in life because they will make us happy and successful. The nine ways make you happy because you are involved in them, you determine whether you want to follow them or not. But to live happy you should try it. Most of the nine ways play a role in your life at a certain point. We can be successful as well if we follow the nine ways because they bring out the best of you, even if you may not see it. Some things that I commit to the nine ways is that I will try to use them all in my daily life because I want to be happy like others and successful as well. Everyone has the capability to do at least one of the nine ways and apply them to their life. We should encourage others so that they can live a happy and healthy life. I believe that all the nine ways are actually a good thing to know about because they can help you out in life when you need it. Instead of being grumpy and mad it will bring you success and happiness. Another thing is that by applying the nine ways into your life, you're also choosing the right.
