Six Rules to Make People Like You

Rule 1: Become genuinely interested in other people

         This new rule is trying to tell us that we can make new friends if we are determined to do it. For example you can have a friend in two months than in two years but you have to be interested in them, instead of waiting for them to like you back. Don't wait on other people to like you, instead go up to them and make conversations with them because its easier and nicer. By doing this rule you can be accepted anywhere because people are going accept the way you are. I will apply this new rule into my life because I'm going to try to talk to new people and get out of my shell because I need to stop being shy. Although it may be hard at the beginning, it will get easier toward the end and it will all be worth it. The quote at the left is telling you that if want to develop a real friendship or if you want to help others you need to become interested in others because that's the way you communicate.

Rule 2: Smile
          This new rule is trying to tell us that we should smile every time no matter how mad or sad we are. Smiling brings joy and happiness in other peoples life. It also makes you look good when you're presenting at your job or when you want to get hire. Just by smiling, others can tell how much happiness you have in your life. Even if you wake up in bad mood, you should still smile throughout the day. When you smile you let your friends or family members know how glad you are to see them. I will apply this new way into my life because each day I'm going to try my best to give everyone a smile, especially my mom because I want to show her how thankful I am to have her in my life. The quote shown at the left is telling you how a smile can hide many things, whether you're sad. heartbroken, or mad but it can also show the strength you have. Smiling is a very important thing in life because it tells you many things. As a matter of fact know one likes a person who is always gloomy or mad because it doesn't say much about you. Smiles make a good friendship and a good world to live in.

Rule 3: Remember Names
           This new rule is trying to tell us that we should always remember peoples name because its important, just like we know our own name, then we should do the same. Remembering names can be a big part in your future. For example when you want to get a recommendation from a teacher but you don't remember their name, how are you suppose to put them down. Not remembering names also makes you look bad because people are expecting you to remember them, so that you can have a nice friendship. Other names that you should remember are your workplace, where you live (city, state, country etc.). I will apply this new rule into my life by always doing the best I can to remember names because maybe one day I may need them for help. If I don't remember someones name, then i will associate more with them. Now a days it should be easier to remember names when you add them as a contact on your phone, it gives you the option to put their name. The quote at the right is telling you why people don't like to remember names, simply because they just don't have the time/ energy or they make excuses for themselves. Some ways to remember names is by making a commitment, concentrate, repeat and associate.

Rule 4:  Be a good listener. Encourage other to talk about themselves
          This new rules is trying to tell us that we should always pay attention when someone is talking to us, let them know that we care what their saying. Encourage others to tell you something about themselves because its important that we to know one another. As a matter of fact we should always be a good listener in school, at home, at work, and even when your in public. Ask question when you need to. I will apply this new rule into my life because I will always try my very best to be a good listener even when I may be stressed out or daydreaming. I also need to encourage myself and other to talk about themselves. Be a smart person and choose to do the right thing. The quote shown at the left is telling you how being a good listener encourages you to be curious about the speaker and that's a good thing because now you know another person. Go out there today and be a good listener and meet new people/ friends.

Rule 5: Talk in terms of the other man's interest
          This new rule is trying to tell us that we should try our best to make good conversations. For example if we want to become friends with someone new, then we should try to talk to them and ask then questions about themselves. It's always important that you let the other person talk before you do because it lets them know that you're actually interested in what their saying or about to say. Another thing is to not be rude or disrespectful, instead be nice and polite. I will apply this new rule into my life because I'm going to try my best to talk and actually care what others are saying to me. I will actually put in interest and time into the conversations that I'm in because it will also make me look good as a friend. The quote shown at the left is telling us that empathy is found in our self but we get it from another person. Meaning that if we actually pay attention when another person is talking, then we might find a connection with them. Be a good person and talk about them and how well of a person they are. Be engaged in one's story so that you can have something to actually talk about.

Rule 6: Make the other person feel important- and do it sincerely 
           This new rule is trying to tell us that we should care for others because its important that we make them feel special or important. Because if we do this, then we might get the same thing in return. Also another thing is don't do it just because someone told you too but do it from your heart. An example of this would be,you go to your grandmas house and she's wants to tell you a story about your parents and you say yes. But don't do it just because your parents are in the room, but because you want to let your grandma know that you actually love and care for her. I will apply this new rule into my life because I'm going to let my mom know and feel how important she is to me. Without her and her words of choice I wouldn't be the person who I am now, which is being an honor student and learning how to play an instrument. My mom pushes me daily and encourages me to make something great in this life that I have been given. The quote at the left is telling you how you should be the person to make someone else fell important and worthy. Do it because you want to not because you're being forced to do it.

Reflection: 
              My feelings about the six ways to make people like you are that I think that they were kind of helpful because they help you understand how you should treat a person when you meet them for the first time. Another thing is that if you follow the six rules you will actually be happy and feel accomplished, well that's how I see it. I encourage you to follow the six rules, so that you can experience a nice moment and encourage others as well. The rule that I like the most was rule number 2. The reason for this is because it just tells you how smiling can help you like others and let others know that you're actually interested so they may like you back and now you can become friends with this new person. One last thing is that a smile can always say a lot of things. I will apply the six rules in my life because I'm going to try and do one everyday until I feel confident about myself and encourage others to do this. 

Current Events- Technology

          Technology needs to become more fluent with students in various parts. But we should also be cautious of many thing that are out there, on the other side of the computer. One current event that has happened recently was in San Francisco when major websites were inaccessible to people across wide swaths of the United States. After a company manage crucial parts of  the internet's infrastructure said it was under attack. This attack appeared to have relied on hundreds of thousands of internet- connected devices like cameras, baby monitors and home routers that have been infected. This allowed the hackers to command them to flood a target overwhelming traffic. This is just one event that happened, image hoe many more will and can happen each day. Be careful, but also learn new ways how the internet can help you. 

Orthodontist

Orthodontist 

Duties and Responsibilities:

    They involve straightening teeth and correcting bites.They are responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patients teeth and with their development.  You will be using dental appliances, like braces, retainers, and space maintainers to correct these problems. You will also be responsible for planning custom treatment plans that are tailored or treat each individual patient based on their dental records and specific anomalies. Sometimes you will be in charge of supervising and instructing orthodontic technicians and assistants in performing routine procedures.

Education Required:

     To become an orthodontist you will need to graduate from dental school with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). But first you need to earn a bachelor's degree. Some classes you will need to take are chemistry, biology, physics and organic chemistry. Another thing is that you'll need to take the Dental Acceptance Test (DAT), during your junior year of undergraduate studies. After you have done all this you will need to enter a residency tr receive specialized orthodontics training, it will last 2-3 years

Would you like to become one? 
       Yes I would like ti become one because I was actually thinking about becoming one in the future. This career has been one of my favorites since I was in second grade. Well actually I would always write about becoming a dentist. But now that I'm older I know that I want to become an Orthodontist.

Las Vegas 

        On October 1, 2017 there was a mass murdering in Las Vegas during a country concert. There was at least 50 dead and 500 injured, this is a really big number. It was told that the person who was shooting was a man that was 64 of age. He was in his hotel room in the 32nd floor where he was shooting from. When the police men went to look for him, they were too late because he committed suicide. My opinions about this shooting are still unbelievable because why would someone want to kill many innocent people. So far this year has been full of mass shooting, hurricanes, earthquakes, violence and so much more. I'm speechless for what happen in Las Vegas because so many families must be suffering through this tragic accident that they never thought would've happened. I wish there was something that we could all do to make this pain go away. I still want to know why this man decided to shoot innocent victims. No one knows why he decided to shoot the polices haven't found any criminal records in his background, this guy was just like everyone else.

1. Make no small plans: Plan Big

     This attitude of high achievers is trying to tell us is that we should always plan big things because they are going to be a big part of your life. You shouldn't be afraid to dream big because the more you dream, the more successful you are. Making small plans won't bring you the strength and courage to do stuff but when you plan big, then you are willing to do strive and make something of your life. An example of this would be you're in a meeting and your boss tells you that you need to come up with a better way to stop polluting the ocean. But you're not sure how to do that. The first thing you should do is make a plan and turn it into something bigger so that you can show them how its done. I will apply this new attitude to my life because I'm always going to try my best and plan big, whether its homework, group projects, or tests so that I can get a better score and become successful. In order for me to be successful I will need to plan big and not small because its showing how determine I am to get far and that I can achieve my goals. The quote at right is telling you how the little plans have no power/ magic, but the big plans aim for hope and determination. Today I encourage you to plan big and you'll see that it was for the best.

2. Do what they fear

    This attitude of high achievers is tying to tell us that we should do what we fear or maybe, even show others that we aren't afraid to accomplish our dreams/goals. You don't have to fear your success, instead you should be proud of it because if  you do fear it then you will never get over it. I understand that you may have fear when you don't get it but it doesn't mean that you should give up. We need to be a bigger version of our self because we are the future and many kids will look back at us and reflect upon us. Know the right time when you should fear something that may be after us, but don't fear your intelligence. The quote shown at the left side is trying to tell is that we fear the things that we need to do in life for example go to work/school, be successful, achieve high standards, and so much more. Why do we fear to do things? I will apply this new attitude into my life because I'm going to learn how to stop fearing the things that will get me to be successful in life. From my knowledge I believe that having fear makes you weaker, instead do what you fear to be successful and an high achiever.

3. High achievers are willing to prepare
    This attitude of high achievers is trying to tell us that there are people out there who are willing to prepare for their future, so that they can be successful. It's sending us  a message that we should also be willing to prepare for what is coming toward us. An example would be you have a math test on a Friday and the teacher tells the whole class that you should study because it's your final grade. What should you do? I think that you should be willing to prepare for this test by studying because it will reflect on your hard work and dedication. I will apply this new attitude into my life by proposing to myself that I will be willing to prepare for anything, whether it's a test, job, college and anything else that will be in my life. It's important that we are willing to prepare because we may never know what the future holds for us. Anyone can be willing to prepare, you just have to be determine to do it and be happy. The quote on the left tells us that those who prepare for their future now will be successful and accomplish it because they were willing to prepare. 

4. High achievers are willing to risk failure
    This new attitude of high achievers is trying to tell us is that we are willing to take a risk of failure. For example you want to get into a private university like Stanford but you're afraid you won't make it in because you think that you didn't do enough. But for you to know that you should apply and let them decide because if you believe in yourself then, there's a chance that you will attend. Always take a risk for the things that will help you in the future. If you don't get in, then that was willing of you to risk failure. High achievers may take risk failures but they never stop, instead they stand up and try again until they can get it right. Failures make you a better person because you learn from those errors and start all over. You won't get everything right in life but you should be willing to risk failure. I will apply this new attitude into my life because from now on and until my days are over I will be willing to risk failure because if I do, I will be learning new things, that I may have not known. We need yo take risks in order to experience true success. The quote shown at the left is telling us how not taking risks is a fail, because we should be taking all kinds of good risks in this world.

5. High achievers are teachable
    This new attitude of high achievers is trying to tell us that we can learn fast. If you give us a hard problem we will be able to solve it because we are determined and we don't give up. We can learn anything that is thrown our way but we just have to be willing to do it. An example of this quote would be your in your AP Calculus class and the teacher gives you a problem but you may not understand it, so you ask for help. When the teacher does help you by explaining it, you start to understand and it gets easier for you. Now that you do understand you get to help others and help them understand. We can all be teachable but we have to put in a lot of effort and time into this. That's why we come to school so that we can learn and be teachable. High achievers are willing to learn new things everyday so that they can have a better future and be successful in life. The quote at the left side is telling us how everything will be difficult in the beginning but  it will eventually get easy over time. It just takes time and learning.

6. High achievers have heart
     This new attitude of high achievers is trying to tell us that we have a heart meaning that we are kind, helpful, honest, purify and so much more. We can all have a heart, but we need to be determined and willing to do it. An example of this would be, you're walking to get home but you see a man/ woman in the street struggling with their groceries bag. What should you do? I think the best thing to do is help them because that's showing how you have a kind heart and people can learn from you. Having a heart doesn't only mean to love someone but it also means that you help others so that they can see hoe great you are. Some ways you can have heart is by cleaning your community/environment, helping out an elderly, volunteering at a pert shelter, cleaning your house and so much more things that you can do. We need more people with a kind and purify heart in this world. The quote shown at right is trying to tell us that the only beauty that matters is the beauty inside a heart. Learn from others experience and start to have a heart of kindness and honesty. 

Freelance Post 9/11

9/11/2001

        My feelings toward the 9/11 incident are that I'm very sad because it killed many people who were innocent and didn't have a clue that there were terrorist coming their way. Its devastating to see how both of the twin towers just collapsed and turned into dust. There was nothing left of the building, everything got ruined and destroyed. I believe that this was one of the worst days for those who were in the buildings and for the families that lost their love ones. What I don't understand is why would the people who hijacked the airplanes risk their lives to destroy two buildings. They didn't receive anything in return besides being killed. I wonder if this could have been prevented from happening? Until this day many are still suffering and hurt because they will never be able to forget this day. Young and old adults died from this caused and there was nothing that we could have done, so that the buildings wouldn't collapsed. It all started at 8:00 a.m and it ended around 11:00 a.m. The good news is that they got to capture the guy that was behind all of this but it didn't repair the damage that was already done.
